HabitRail is designed with your privacy as the top priority. The app functions entirely on your device and does not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use it. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information. All habit data, streaks, and settings you create within the app are stored locally on your device only and are never sent to our servers. The only data that may be collected is anonymous, aggregated analytics data (such as app crash reports and general usage statistics) to help us improve the application. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Since HabitRail does not collect personal data, there is no personal information to use, share, or sell. Anonymous crash reports and performance data (if you have opted in through your device settings) are used solely to identify and fix bugs, improve app stability, and enhance the overall user experience. This data is processed by Google Firebase Crashlytics and is subject to Google's privacy policy. We will never sell, rent, or share any information with third parties for marketing purposes.

All your habit data is stored locally on your Android device using secure local storage. This data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including your screen lock and device encryption (if enabled). We do not have access to your habit data, streaks, or any content you create within the app. If you uninstall HabitRail, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted from your device. If you use Android's built-in backup feature (Google Backup), your app data may be backed up to your Google account. This backup is governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.

HabitRail uses the following third-party services: Google Play Services — For app distribution and device-level services. Subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Google Firebase Crashlytics — For anonymous crash reporting to help us fix bugs. You can opt out via your device's data sharing settings. Expo & React Native — The app is built with Expo and React Native. These frameworks may collect anonymous crash and performance data. No personally identifiable information is collected through these frameworks.

HabitRail is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Since the app does not collect personal data from any users, this applies equally to users of all ages. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at the address below, and we will take steps to address the situation.

HabitRail may request the following device permissions: Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) — To send you habit reminders at times you choose. You can disable these at any time in your device settings. Exact Alarm (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) — To deliver reminders at precisely the time you set. We do not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other sensitive device permissions beyond what is listed above.

Since all your data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it at all times. You can: Delete all app data at any time by going to Settings > Apps > HabitRail > Clear Data on your Android device. Uninstall the app to permanently remove all data. Disable notifications at any time through your device's notification settings. Opt out of anonymous crash reporting through your device's data sharing settings (Settings > Privacy > Usage & Diagnostics).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy and notify users through an in-app notification or the app's Google Play Store listing. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of HabitRail after any changes signifies your acceptance of the updated policy.
